IPM Introduction
Ningbo Haitian Electric Furnace was founded in 1992 and has been committed to the production and research and development of medium frequency melting furnaces. In 1999, it launched a single board constant power control thyristor parallel inverter medium frequency power supply, which is 6% more energy-efficient than traditional melting furnaces. In 2003, it launched a thyristor series inverter medium frequency power supply, which is 7% more energy-efficient than parallel connection. In 2009, it jointly launched an IGBT power supply with Huanhu Electric Furnace (Dai Guangzu team), which further improved the energy-saving effect and saved 6% more energy than thyristor power supplies. In 2019, it launched a new dual DSP controlled IPM power supply, which does not require reactors and saves 10% -20% more energy than previous thyristor power supplies. The IPM output power covers 5KW-6300KW, and this series of power supplies has been successfully applied to 10KG-12T medium frequency electric furnaces.
The IPM module power supply of Haitian electric furnace has the following characteristics:
1、 Stable and reliable high-power IPM intermediate frequency power supply
1. Building block design solves the problem of small IGBT power supply in the past. The power can cover 5KW-6300KW and higher, and the power can be infinitely expanded, breaking through the technical bottleneck of instability when IGBT power is large in the past.
2. The Haitian IPM medium frequency melting system is designed using MATLAB software simulation to ensure the highest efficiency, reliability, and stability of the entire equipment.
3. N+1 redundancy theory design, each module of the equipment is redundant, and the reliability is improved by an order of magnitude. Each module unit operates independently, and the current is distributed intelligently according to the output power. Any module failure automatically exits, and the other units automatically redistribute the current. This truly solves the problem of IGBT being vulnerable, difficult to repair, laborious, and time-consuming in the past.
4. Multi layer stacked busbar design, designed through MATLAB software simulation, cleverly solves the problem of busbar heat dissipation, addresses the influence of distributed inductance, and solves the impact of heat dissipation and peak voltage on IPM, making IPM more reliable, stable, and not easily damaged, solving the problem of frequent IGBT damage in the past.
2、 Environmental protection and energy conservation
1. The Haitian IPM intermediate frequency power supply adopts advanced microcomputer fully digital fuzzy control, which eliminates the need for reactors and is more energy-efficient than previous IGBT power supplies.
2. The IPM module is a switchable device, and there is no reactive current during the inverter, so the inverter loss is lower than that of the thyristor, and the protection is more reliable, fast, and not easily damaged.
3. The IPM module inverter circuit does not require hollow core inductors, reducing energy loss. The above three points can save about 7% of electricity compared to previous thyristor power supplies.
4. The power factor of the IPM module electric furnace coil can be close to 1, with less current passing through, resulting in less loss. Compared with previous thyristor power supplies, this alone can save about 7% electricity.
5. Adopting ZVS and ZIS control technology, ZPM adopts zero voltage and zero current turn off and on during commutation, reducing IPM switching losses, improving equipment efficiency, and saving energy consumption.
6. The Haitian IPM medium frequency melting furnace saves 10-20% of electricity compared to traditional thyristor power sources, reducing melting time by 10-20 minutes per furnace. By saving electricity costs within a year, the equipment investment can be recovered.
3、 Easy to maintain
1. The Haitian IPM intermediate frequency power supply adopts dual DSP (American) control, truly realizing full digital remote control, overcoming the trouble of previous debugging personnel having to adjust the potentiometer on site and having a "self diagnosis" function to display the cause and location of the fault, avoiding the trouble of blind fault finding by maintenance personnel in the past. The entire system is fully computer-controlled, greatly improving the reliability and stability of equipment operation.
2. The reasonable and clever layout of IPM and heat sink not only improves equipment efficiency, but also makes maintenance more convenient. Replacing IPM is simpler and easier to operate than replacing thyristor, solving the complex process of replacing IGBT modules and greatly reducing maintenance time.
3. Overcoming the disadvantages of IGBT being easily damaged, difficult to repair, and high maintenance costs in the past, the IPM module power supply of Haitian electric furnace is more stable and reliable than traditional thyristor, and the accessory price is almost the same as thyristor. The key is that the stability and service life of IPM power supply are several times higher than that of thyristor power supply.
